Established in 2021, the Down Syndrome Advocacy Project of Maine is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit that provides resources for people with Down syndrome. DSAP strives to improve the lives of people with Down syndrome through education and advocacy. Our goal is to promote awareness, acceptance, and inclusion.
The mission of the Down syndrome Advocacy Project of Maine is to provide people with Down syndrome a vision of hope, inclusion, and independence for their future. We will do this through advocacy, community engagement, and scholarships for those seeking post-secondary education, including enrichment or vocational classes, in helping them achieve their dreams of independence.
At DSAP, we are dedicated to providing people with Down syndrome in Maine opportunities for higher education and independence by spreading awareness and celebrating their achievements as we realize their dreams one scholarship at a time!
